2. 1 2 3
3. The Carnival Town
4. Like The Moon
5. Castle
6. ‘Til After Dark
7. Once Last Dance
8. Another Boy
I was under the oak tree when you first saw me
You said that one day you’d marry me, I called you crazy
Then you asked me for a dance and I said yes
You put an acorn in my hand
And that’s when I said
You and me are never afraid of the dark
So I’ll give you my heart
And you and me are bigger than the stars
So I never will love another boy
I stepped out into the yard to hear your plane fly over
Now I wonder where you are since we got older
Summer came and went too soon, in a small town you see
Lovers always tend to lose in ‘43
But you and me were never afraid of the dark
And I gave you my heart
And you and me were bigger than the stars
So I never will love another boy
Cause you and me were never afraid of the dark
And I still wonder where you are
You and me were nothing like the others
So I never will love another boy
I dare not speak your name
It might not feel the same
As before…as before…
All of these hopes and all of these dreams
Could never compare to my one big wish
That you never fought in that big old war for me
Cause you and me were never afraid of the dark
And I still wonder where you are
You and me were perfect like the stars
So I never will love
No I never will love
No I never could love
Another boy.
This world grows – the one inside my head. With everyday it becomes a little more focused, a little more tangible. Details in facts and truths are forming, and at times, I think they do so without my will or thought. My dreams are vivid and saturated with colour and electricity. I want this place to be real. I need it to be.
It is beyond the looking-glass, and I am not Alice.
But here is what I have gathered from my brief time spent there:
- There are some who collect memorandumof artifacts lost somewhere in the space between history, literature and imagination. I suspect they have found the Hatter’s broken teacup by now. I saw Wendy’s thimble in a golden frame.
- Love in the common sense can not exist here, for love is a thing of adulthood, and adulthood is not real.
- Words are written backwards, but still scribed from left to right.
- One will find this place upon realisation (I think others call it ’delusion’ or ‘denial’).
- There is a unique key for every adventurer. Mine was big and golden.
- There are only feather pens here.
- Women are ladies and men are gentlemen.
- There is no way out again. Those who turn back become forever trapped in the purgatory between this place and the other (also known as ‘imaginary friends’).
- The man with the Top Hat is the librarian.
- The sun is unnecessarily big and ridiculously young.
- There is no darkness. That can be accessed via the Great Castle that reaches up to the hole in the sky. From there you just need to climb through to nighttime.
- Musicians are faceless. They have nothing but their ears.
It is a frightfully wonderful place.
1 i stumble
2 i fumble
3 i fall in love
just a little more cause of gravity
and i don’t know
where i’m going
where i’m meant to be
so i will stay for a while
wait here until i see
see where you want me
i’m right where you want me
mmm.
1 i like you
2 you like me back
3’s just a consequence of
what should happen next
so from this moment
i’m giving all of my heart
so take good care and i promise
i’ll keep your love too
so if you want me
i’m yours if you’ll have me
say that you love me
and i’ll be right here for you
do do do do
do do do do…do.
do do do do
do do do do…do!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
so if you want me
i’m yours if you’ll have me
say if you love me
and i’ll be right here for you.
I was incredibly sleepy when I recorded this…but meh. The moment’s passed, laziness has already set in.

Castle Standing Still
Once I was a little girl and I saw flowers everywhere
It was a better time back then
Oh what a beautiful escape I never asked for them to trade
My coloured skies for one of gray
And yet they
Went on to take apart the kingdom I have built
Foundation is gone but my castle’s standing still
Once I was a little bird I waited years to be let go
Now I’m afraid to be alone
I watched as Summer turned to rain
Those apples never taste the same
But who am I to complain?
So go on and take away the kingdom I have built
Foundation is broken but my castle’s standing still
Never gonna see the same golden throne as my bed
But I’m gonna keep the crown on my head
Sunny days will come, sunny days will go
As I walk on, I will grow old
Once I had a little thought, the one I loved most of all
And I won’t ever let it go
We were both alone in the world and all we wanted was to play
I didn’t know what to make of your scars but I said hello anyway
Two little hearts under one yellow star, lost in the oval I was crying
Somewhere you found me inside of a box and you weren’t afraid this time
Everything we ever knew that day was changed
The moment that I told you my name
I fell in love with you
In our first year of school
Who thought it’d be so soon
You fell in love with me
From then we’d always be
Two fools with wings
Side by side we walked through kindergarten
You kissed me under the oak tree
And now we’re old but we’re still just as bold as we were
10, 000 days ago
Everything we ever knew that day has changed
Ever since you stole my heart away
Chorus.
Somewhere down the track I might lose you
But I’m not prepared for that yet
I don’t know where I’d be if you had not been there to talk to me
Everything I ever knew that day is the same
Ever since you told me your name
Chorus.
Two fools, two fools.
Tick tock here we go I’ve gone and overslept through noon
But I’m so tired I just want to lie in bed with you
Falling deeper mother told me I’ll be grow up soon
Keep me darling in your pocket safe from all the news (the bad news)
Everytime I turn around to see the world all I see is fire, rain and doom
So let’s go back to bed we’ll cover up our heads and later on we’ll wake ourselves to move
We’ll move along and cook our breakfast for 2
Tick tock to and fro that big old pendulum is alive
No matter how I try to stop him he will always strike
12 o clock its getting dark and I can hear you snore
Sunrise is the best time to hear nothing, nothing at all
Everytime I turn around to see the world all I see is fire rain and doom
So let’s go back to bed we’ll cover up our heads and later on we’ll wake ourselves to move
we’ll move along and cook our breakfast for 2
So what do I like most
Cereal or toast
Well I don’t mind as long as we
Have a cup of tea
A couple books to read
And you right here right next to me
From the perspective of an imaginary friend.. who abandons whom?
Hello would you care for some tea?
I know you shouldn’t be here with me
But what else could we do with our time?
So ignore all their woes and their lies.
It doesn’t matter what they say is good for you
All it takes is one name and a book or two.
So I’m not going no where until you’re fine without me
I’m not going no where until I see you standing on your feet
Isn’t it great to have a friend like me?
For I will always be waiting in the shadows where you had made me.
Sometimes I overhear one of your thoughts
But I am here to let you know you’re not wrong (not at all!)
I lay out all your nicest dreams
And throw out the bad ones into the sink
And once in a while I might return to view
But after summer’s over I’ll disappear for good
Through The Garden Tunnel
Well I’ve bruised and grazed my knees
While I’m here exploring
Through the leaves
Here the light is never gone
Cause sun is always young
And big
I don’t know where I am I think it’s better unseen
So on and on I go along down this burrow in my dream
So now that I’m on my own
Through the garden tunnel I crawl
I won’t be back til after dark
Don’t wait for me
All the flowers laced entwined
Now the tunnel’s arching higher
Full of green
So I’ll keep the afternoon
In a place that never moves
Or ages
Fly sparrow fly
I’m a rabbit running wild
And no one can catch me here
I’d never lie
This is truth and this is real
I’m not dreaming

Inspired by the dream as detailed below in previous post

Autumn skies are rolling in
Golden hues are falling
All the trees are leaning in
To whisper in my ear
And there’s a warmth around me
Like I am filled with milk and honey
And I have given in
All the blossoms closing in
Winter is approaching
Mailbox: a podium
Songbird is a singin’
And there’s a warmth around me
Like I am filled with milk and honey
And everything it brings
Makes me feel like a child again
Ivy overgrown
On picket white fences
Like the bittersweet beauty of rum
And sugar plums are loved
When the season makes them ripe enough for us
Autumn skies are rolling in
The other world is calling
Mother earth is moving
But I keep on a stalling
Cause with a warmth around me
Like I am filled with milk and honey
How can I ever leave?
When I feel like a child again
How can I leave?
How could I ever leave?
